Submission Process

Step-by-step guide for Manuscript Submission Process:

  1. Create and Log in your Account:
    • Visit the official website of Orchid Insights: A Multidisciplinary Journal of Orchid College and navigate to the submission page.
    • Click on the “Create an Account” or “Register” button to create/registrar your account.
    • Fill in the required information, including your name, email address, and affiliation.
    • Choose a username and password for your account.
    • Once your account is created, log in using your username and password.
  2. Prepare Your Manuscript:
  • Review the submission guidelines provided by the journal. 
  • Format your manuscript according to the journal’s guidelines. Ensure your manuscript adheres to the specified format, language requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Remove any identifying information from the document to prepare it for blind review.
  • Include all necessary sections such as title, abstract, keywords, main text, references, figures, and tables.
  1. Upload Your Manuscript:
  • Use the submission system to upload your manuscript file.
  • Select the appropriate submission category (e.g., Research Article, Review Article, etc.).
  • Upload your manuscript file in a compatible format (e.g., .doc, .docx, .pdf).
  • Fill out any required metadata fields such as title, author names, affiliations, abstract, keywords, and funding information
  • Attach any supplementary files, such as figures, tables, or data sets, if applicable.
  1. Confirm Submission:
  • Review the details of your submission to ensure that all information is correct. 
  • Confirm that you agree to the journal’s terms and conditions, including copyright policies.
  • Make any necessary corrections or additions before finalizing your submission.
  • Click on the “Submit” or “Finish Submission” button to submit your manuscript.
  • You may receive a confirmation email once your submission is successfully received by the journal.
  • Track Your Submission:
  • After submission, you may be able to track the progress of your manuscript through the submission system.
  • Check for any updates, reviewer comments, or requests for revisions.
  • If your manuscript requires revisions, make the necessary changes and resubmit it through the submission system.
  • Follow the journal’s guidelines for resubmission and revision.
  1. Await Review:
  • Once your manuscript is submitted, it will undergo the peer-review process.
  • You will be notified of the editorial decision (acceptance, rejection, or revision) through the submission system or email. 
  • If revisions are requested, carefully address the reviewers’ comments and make necessary revisions to your manuscript.

 

  1. Publication Process:
  • Upon acceptance, your manuscript will be prepared for publication in the upcoming issue of Orchid Insights.
  • The manuscript will undergo a final check for plagiarism, formatting and style before being published in the journal. 
  • You may receive further instructions from the editorial team regarding proofs, copyright forms, and other publication details.
  • Your article will be published online and may also appear in print, depending on the journal’s publication practices.
  • Publication Ethics:
  • Authors are expected to adhere to the highest standards of publication ethics, including avoiding plagiarism and declaring any conflicts of interest.
  • The journal reserves the right to reject or retract any manuscript that violates these ethical standards.
