Rules for Submission:

  1. Originality: All submissions must be original work that has not been published previously and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  2. Formatting: Manuscripts should be prepared according to the journal’s formatting guidelines, which can be found on the journal’s website. Authors should ensure that their manuscripts adhere to the specified format, including margins, font size, line spacing, and reference style.
  3. Language: Submissions must be written in English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscripts checked by a native English speaker or a professional editing service before submission.
  4. Length: Manuscripts should be of a length appropriate to the content, typically about 5000 words. Longer manuscripts may be considered, but authors should contact the editorial team prior to submission.
  5. Peer Review: All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process, where both the authors’ identities and the reviewers’ identities are concealed from each other. Authors should ensure that their manuscripts are prepared for blind review by removing any identifying information from the document.
  6. Copyright: Authors retain the copyright to their work, but agree to grant the journal the right of first publication. Authors are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted material in their manuscripts.
  7. Open Access: OI operates primarily as an open-access journal, ensuring that all content is accessible to readers without any cost. Print versions of OI will be produced in limited quantities. Authors are not required to pay any article processing charges.
  8. Publication Ethics: Authors must adhere to the highest standards of publication ethics and are expected to declare any conflicts of interest. Plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification are considered serious ethical violations and will result in rejection or retraction of the manuscript.
  9. Submission Process: Manuscripts should be submitted online through the journal’s submission system. Authors will be required to create an account and follow the submission guidelines provided.
  10. Review Process: Upon submission, manuscripts will be reviewed by the editorial team for compliance with the journal’s guidelines. Submissions that meet the criteria will be sent for peer review. Authors will be notified of the outcome of the review process and any required revisions.
